Kathryn Grant participated in TBTB’s Playmaker’s Intensives and a Playmaker’s Redux, creating two one-act plays for a designated cast.  She is proud to be a TBTB Company Member!  Her first play, The Wound of Love, received the Berilla Kerr Award in playwriting and received productions at the Actors Studio, Penguin Repertory Theater, the John Houseman Theater and Provincetown Repertory Theater.  The Good Counselor received 8 productions across the nation including Premiere Stages and 1st Stages and garnered the Jerry Kaufman Award in Playwriting the Premiere Stages Festival Award,  a citation from The Harold and Mimi Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award and a  Helen Hays nomination for best play in the Washington, DC region.   Handicapped People in Their Formal Attire was presented at the American Renaissance Theater and received a workshop production at the Actors Studio.  After winning the 2012 Premier Stages Festival Award, the play was produced at Premiere Stages. The Good Counselor is published by Samuel French and is featured in Scenes and Monologues from the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award.  Recently her play, Aliyah received a citation from the Jerry Kaufman Award.  Other plays including The Khmer Shiva, The House of Piñatas and The Alabaster Virgin are in development at the Actors Studio PDU and ARTC.
